Comfort Castor Cozies

comfort castor cozyDoing Castor Oil packs is frequently a valuable adjunct to doing the Abdominal Massage YAM ( Your Abdominal Massage) routine.

It became apparent that my clients needed the most efficient way to utilize the benefits of doing a Castor Oil pack.  Using my skills as a seamstress, I devised a pattern that would make even the most reluctant Castor oil user have the easiest time possible executing this comforting & health-giving gift to ourselves!!

Voila! The Comfort Castor Cozie was born!  With an eye to uniqueness, recycling & using appealing fabrics, these Cozies are double stitched on all seams to insure durability.

They are composed of:

  • Organic Cotton Flannel for the side where the Castor Oil is applied.
  • Recycled Sanitized Wool blankets & sweaters for the insulating factor inside the CCC.
  • An attractive outer cotton fabric from myriad choices that covers the insulating wool.

I now make a size that fits both a hot water bottle AND the type of heating pad size that is regularly found in a drugstore.

Both methods of heating have their advantages.

Using a Hot Water Bottle, you do not have to worry about falling asleep with an electric pad being on your body all night (NOT GOOD!!)

Care Instructions sent with each order.

I have found that my clients who have purchased a CCC are more apt to do their packs.  Having a dedicated “tool” to do their packs seems to inspire!

Prices start at $30 plus shipping, ones that have been embellished by embroidery or appliqué can cost more.

I recommend using Organic Castor Oil, a good resource being www.mountainroseherbs.com, for the West Coast consumers.
